TL;DR for TADS 2021
- TADSummit Asia 2021, online through May.
- TADHack Global 2021, hybrid (in-person and online) the weekend before Enterprise Connect on 25/26 September.
- TADSummit EMEA Americas 2021, hybrid (in-person and online) 10/11 November, Wednesday/Thursday.
At the moment, the main challenge is getting sponsors on board to make these events possible. We’ll be grateful for any help you can provide 🙂
Communications is fundamental to the human condition. Now it is programmable, we are only beginning to scratch the surface of what is possible using it to improve people’s lives. Programmable Telecoms / Communications (CXTech) is a $1200B+ industry and TADS is the longest running series of global events focused on programmable telecoms / communications, since 2013.
TADSummit: the marketing in both the enterprise communications industry and the telecommunications industry is dominated by a few large organizations. TADSummit is the technology / business focused event that cuts through the corporate BS to help “raises the tide for all boats (small, medium and large businesses) in the industry,” with an explicitly stated no BS policy.
TADHack: is a global hackathon to raise global awareness and show what is possible using programmable communications / telecoms. Since its founding in 2014, TADHack has encouraged anyone interested to get involved, TADHack is for everyone! TADHack aims to “raise the tide for all boats in this programmable communications industry” and solve problems participants face in their home, work and community lives. You can see all we’ve achieved here:
What is TADSummit?
TADSummit is the thought-leadership event in programmable communications / telecoms since 2013. There is no other conference that matches the practical focus and thought leadership.
In 2021 we will be entering our 9th year. All content is live broadcast (250-300 online viewers during the event, thousands of views after the event), recorded and edited for offline viewing. TADSummit’s YouTube channel has 60k+ views and 6k+ hours. Some videos are viewed thousands of times.
Programmable Telecoms covers a broad range of technologies / concepts: telecom APIs, CPaaS (Communications Platform as a Service), UCaaS (Unified Communications as a Service), CCaaS (Contact Center as a Service), Web3 / Ethereum / blockchain, contextual communications, conversational CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and BOTs (roBOTs, automated agents), machine-to-machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT), telecom APIs and WebRTC, video communications, internal innovation in non-telecom industries, decentralized web / telecoms, application-to-person (A2P) comms / applications, network app stores, enterprise telecom apps, open source software, open networks, and much, much more.
What is TADHack?
TADHack is a series of hackathons that help people learn about the latest Internet, IT, and Telecoms technologies; and use those technologies to solve problems that matter.
At TADHack people (students, web developers, IT managers, coders and non-coders, graphic designers, project and product managers, interested individuals, subject-matter-experts) collaborate on a software project using new technologies.
Our hacks have included programmable telecoms (voice, video, messaging), Web3 / Ethereum, internet of things, cloud computing, robotics, machine learning, speech and face recognition, mobile payments, enterprise communications, decentralized web, blockchain, encryption, open source, data analytics, and many other technologies. Even supermarkets have been involved.
TADHack Global is the largest global hackathon since the first TADHack in 2014, and 2021 will make it 8 years. The TADHack YouTube channel has had over 3.3k hours of viewing from 90k views. And that’s not including all the traffic from TADHack location with their own YouTube/video sites.
TADS 2021 Plan
At the moment we’re seeking sponsors to help make these events possible. If you’re interested please contact us. Or if you think an organization should be sponsoring, please let them know; sometimes it just takes a little push 🙂
TADSummit Asia, May 2021 (virtual event through the month of May),
http://www.tadsummit.com/2021/asia/ (website not yet active)
The first TADSummit was in Bangkok in 2013, ever since we’ve had requests to run another event in Asia. In 2019 and 2020 we ran online events. The diversity of Asia, and the telco-centric nature of the communications market means Programmable Telecoms / Communications does not spark adequate interest in any one location for an in-person event at present.
We pre-record the presentations, and do daily drops of the content through the month of May to keep people coming back. Making it a destination for programmable communications. Then towards the end of the May we’ll do some interactive sessions with the most viewed content.
TADHack Global, 25/26 September 2021
https://tadhack.com/2021/ (website not yet active)
We anticipate a similar format to 2019 with 1-1.5k registrations, 10 locations. This will be held the weekend before Enterprise Connect 2021. We have a session at EC21 for some of the TADHack Global winners to present.
TADSummit EMEA/Americas, Aveiro Portugal, mid-November (10/11th Nov) 2021
http://www.tadsummit.com/2021/emea_americas/ (website not yet active)
We’re currently planning to run this both in-person and online. Location will be at GoContact’s HQ in Aveiro Portugal, with a mix of in-person and remote presentations and attendees.
At the moment, the main challenge is getting sponsors on board to make these events possible. We’ll be grateful for any help you can provide 🙂
